BLRT and Ecomen start training industry managers in Northern Tallinn  01.10.2009

BLRT (Baltic Shipyard) and institute of economics and management Ecomen will start training managers for practically-oriented industrial companies in Northern Tallinn and in addition to the usual theoretical higher education, the training also offers practical experience in an actual sector.

The teaching staff of Ecomen and the production and senior managers of BLRT are used as teachers within the scope of the contract entered into on 1 October. For example, Director General of BLRT Marketex Fjodor Kvitsh, Director of Strategy and Development of the BLRT Group Andrei Nassonov and Rector of Ecomen, Professor Hanon Barabaner will be sharing their knowledge with students. The training is due to start in November this year.

Director of Strategy and Development of the BLRT Group Andrei Nassonov says that combining higher education with practical management of an industry is extremely important for the company, particularly in the conditions of the current recession where the competitiveness of manufacturing is playing an increasingly important role. “Whether or not you get orders from clients is primarily determined by the quality and the price you offer. We have focussed on Scandinavian infra-projects and the renewable energy sector where quality is not compromised. In order to play in this league, we need highly educated specialists with practical experience and this is what we hope to obtain as a result of this cooperation,” added Nassonov.
