Children’s Sailing School started its activity in the Noblessner Quarter  21.07.2010

A sailing school for children and youths started work in the Noblessner Quarter belonging to the BLRT Group. At the moment, 6 new Optimists are ready for training. The Sailing School is meant for children at the age of 7-13, both for boys and girls. The trainer is Anton Vetashev, an experienced yachtsman who is professional with big yachts and Optimists, as well as in kite-boarding and surfing. We welcome both Estonian and Russian-speaking youths at the age of 7-13 to the training.

The training lessons are 4 times a week and in every two weeks the parents can with their children drive on the historic and classical Colin Archer 33 yacht. Currently, the yacht is still being renovated, but it will be ready in the next week. In winter, the children will be taught boat-building, where they themselves can build a wooden Optimist under the guidance of a master. In addition, the children will be able to participate in general physical training and play coordination games.

The main sponsors of the Sailing School are the BLRT Group and Sailinvest OÜ. In the next summer, we plan to organise a BLRT Optimist Cup, which would become an annual tradition.
